65th Birthday Gift

Just so happens I needed a gift idea for a dear friend's 65th birthday. She's always doing wonderful things for me so I wanted to do something special in honor of her BIG milestone. Hence, I came up with the idea of making my own box, lid and matching card. I'm entering this in the Gift Packaging Challenge in the Moxie Fab World.

It's hard to see the tab on the top of the box, but my instructions there suggested she pull on the tab and keep on pulling. Needless to say, she was shocked when bills kept coming out and the denominations were getting bigger. I had taped the bills together and wrapped them around an empty toilet paper roll with a dowel through the center and glued to two sides of the box so it wouldn't drop to the bottom. If I ever give this kind of gift again, I'll make the box shorter. She loved it and was so very thankful. I'm glad it was such a hit!
