PTI's Laurie's Fabulous Favorites (Favorite Shaped Card)

This week at Papertrey Ink the Win It Wednesday Challenge from Laurie is to create a project using a shaped card base.

She had me thinking all week of what else I could use besides my new Scallop Stackers: Medium Die. Well, after two attempts trying to use my Noted: Scalloped A2 Die (full-size A2 one pass) in my Big Shot and failing, I resorted to the lovely stacker. Always in need of birthday cards, here's what I ended up creating.

Thank you for stopping by, and I really do appreciate your comments!

Supplies: (all PTI unless noted):
Cardstock: Stamper's Select White,True Black and Bright Buttercup
Ink: Hawaiian Shores, Amethyst Allure, Hibiscus Burst, Simply Chartreuse, Orange Zest, VersaFine Onyx Black and VersaMark
Stamps: Confetti Toss, Scribbled Sentiments and Birthday Style
Dies: Scallop Stackers: Medium, Birthday Style and Noted: Scalloped A2
Other: White Embossing Powder, Ink Blender and Foam Tape

Papertrey May Blog Hop Challenge

This month's blog hop challenge for Papertrey Ink is based off beautifully watercolored popsicles by Sarah Langtry from Just The Bee's Knees. What's your favorite flavor?

They look so tasty and very colorful. These got my creative juices flowing in a different way. I opted to stamp vs. watercolor for this birthday card of pastel balloons. (Not sure why the colors look so dark but maybe because it's overcast here.)

PTI's 9th Anniversary Day 3: Grab & Craft Challenge

Already on Day 3 of Papertrey Ink's 9th Anniversary festivities as can be seen here. The challenge was to create a project using supplies we could "grab" in 5 minutes. Can you tell I still had birthdays on my mind? Because I used a Kraft card base, I should have used some richer colors so they would stand out a little more. If I had dies for Scribbled Sentiments, I would have die-cut the middle "happy" in Harvest Gold to add dimension. Think it falls in the masculine category though so all is good. It's readable in real life. : ) Here's my card.

Supplies: (all PTI unless noted)

Cardstock: Kraft
Ink: Berry Sorbet, Harvest Gold, Hawaiian Shores and Dark Chocolate
Stamps: Scribbled Sentiments and Stylish Sentiments: Birthday
Dies: None
Other: Corner Chomper
