Papertrey November 2017 Blog Hop Challenge

I'm writing this post early because we're traveling for Thanksgiving and don't want to miss the opportunity to participate in this month's Blog Hop at Papertrey Ink. Here is the beautiful inspiration piece for this month's challenge.

My eyes went right to the plaid napkin on the table, the gold "gather" centerpiece and the fall decor on the chair. This is my creation, and I have just the person in mind to receive it. Hope she likes it!

Hope everyone had a delicious feast and fun with friends and family over Thanksgiving!

Thanks for stopping by, and I really do appreciate your comments.

Create Along With Us Challenge: November 2017

Is it fair to say this was my very favorite release ever even though I wasn't able to place an order? Needless to say, my wish list grew by leaps and bounds. Besides loving all the new products and the DT's projects, I also won the Day 5 Gift Certificate. Woo hoo! That will definitely help me get some of my "much needed" items.

This week instead of Make It Monday Papertrey Ink challenged us to select one of the design team's projects and create our own version based on that inspiration.

I chose this striking card by Michelle at PrettyPeriwinkle.

Since I needed a few more Thanksgiving cards to show how grateful I am for people in my life, this is the card I created.

My BIL from Idaho was just visiting us for three days, and Monday we pick up another BIL and SIL from Tennessee from the airport. Tuesday we're traveling to Idaho to spend several days over Thanksgiving with some of my DH's family. It should be a great time provided the weather cooperates. Safe travels and Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!

PTI MIM #303: Holiday Photo Card

So, because I'm busy getting ready for company and didn't really have a photo to use for a Christmas card, I was just going to skip this week's challenge. However, there are so many cool products in Papertrey Ink's November Release that I couldn't pass up the chance to win a gift certificate. Ashley challenged us to incorporate a photo on a holiday card. Isn't her daughter Lauren just the cutest? Since it's just my dear hubby and me, I altered a photo taken at Hoover Dam in May. Tried to print the photo on matte photo paper, but it jammed my printer so I used the sample I printed for sizing and mounted it on card stock. Need I repeat that my Epson printer and I don't get along very well? Anyway, here's my card and now I have to decide which friend or relative will be the "lucky" recipient. This will be one of a kind!

We Love You Dawn Blog Hop

Poor Dawn has been dealing with serious health issues for the past few years but with a very positive attitude. About a week ago she underwent a small intestinal transplant, which was a huge success. She is recovering now with a long road ahead so we wanted to share our love for her. I personally adore her design style and vibrant colors. She is the queen of florals and always chooses joy. Dawn is one amazing person and such an inspiration to all. Even though I've never had the good fortune to meet her in person, I feel like we're best friends because she gives so much of herself to the crafty world in her blog posts.

Here's the card I created inspired by Dawn in more ways than one. I hope she can feel the love radiated from my card and all the others made especially for her.

Hop over to Nichole's blog where you can find details and thumbnails of beautiful cards created for Dawn using stamp sets and dies designed by her. Won't she be surprised and thrilled to see all the love shared from her stamping friends? Keeping Dawn and Bart in my prayers and hope you will too!

PTI MIM #302: Twine & Ribbon Wraps

This week's Make It Monday Challenge for Papertrey Ink is presented by Stephanie. She shared ways to use twine and/or ribbon in different ways other than just a knot or bow. Had to think on this for awhile but actually made two cards Friday night (no ink; no stamps), instead of rushing late Sunday night. Besides that, I'm so happy because I've got another Christmas card to add to my stash. Yay for challenges! Once I post this, I'm heading back to my craft room to get creating. Can you believe I haven't touched my Wonderland Kit yet other than to look at its beauty? I must hurry!
