Greetings from Seattle

Altenew is hosting a very different blog hop with prizes for commenting as well as creating for any of  the 18 challenges included.

Here is an ink blended card using Altenew's Sketchy Cities America 2. First I stamped the Seattle Skyline using VersaFine Onyx Black ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. The blue sky was blended with an ink blending tool. Using sponge daubers, a silver Bic marker and a Gelly Roll glitter pen, I colored in the landmarks and buildings. The road below the cityscape is a strip of black glitter paper. To finish the card, I inked the sentiment in VersaMark on black card stock and heat embossed with white embossing powder.

You Make My World Go 'Round

Details of Altenew's Ultimate Challenge Blog Hop can be found here. There is so much inspiration, a fun blog hop and great prizes up for grabs. I was definitely inspired to create. Virginia's View Challenge was all about Spray, Mist and Splatter.

Using my Altenew Sketchy Cities America 2 stamp set, I created an emboss resist card. The card base is white, next layer is PTI Hibiscus Burst, and the top white layer was die cut with MFT's Stitched Rectangles. The Seattle Cityscape was inked with VersaMark and heat embossed in white. I then blended some Distress inks (Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmalade and Picked Raspberry) before stamping my sentiment in VersaFine Onyx Black. I splattered some water drops and added black rhinestones to finish the card.

I'd Climb To The Top of the Space Needle for You

What a fun and different type of blog hop at Altenew! This is Altenew's Ultimate Blog Hop Challenge, which includes 18 different challenges. Thought it would be fun to share a card I made that qualifies for Virginia's View Challenge requiring Spray, Mist & Splatter.

This Seattle cityscape card started with a white card base that I smooshed with PTI New Leaf, Harvest Gold and Hawaiian Shores inks. Altenew's Sketchy Cities America 2 stamp was inked with the same three colors and misted with water before stamping on white. That panel was fussy cut and adhered to a strip of New Leaf card stock and "popped" up on the white base. The sentiment was stamped in New Leaf on the bottom portion of a Harvest Gold PTI Half & Half die cut. I punched two small holes, laced Twinery Twine around the card, through the holes and tied a bow.

Sending Big Hugs

Altenew's Ultimate Challenge Blog Hop is such a fun hop. Now if I could only figure out how to chart all these challenges so when time permits, I could participate in several of them. I'm on a mission to figure out an easy system. In the mean time, I again pulled out my Altenew stamp set.

Here's another card I made using Sketchy Cities America 2, the Seattle Cityscape. Kathy at The Daily Marker is one of the challenge participants. Her challenge is "The Daily Marker 30 Day Coloring Challenge." Her beautiful colored images are definitely works of art. After stamping the Seattle Cityscape in VersaFine Onyx Black ink, I colored in some of the images with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens. PTI's Wet Paint III sentiment was die cut from black card stock and inked in black on a white strip. A black strip of card stock was attached to the inside of the white card base.
