PTI MIM #313: Mask & Stack

Betsy says to find the cutest stamp we own and stack them up. She showed us how to die-cut multiple cuts from sticky post-its to use as masks when stamping over images. This week's Make It Monday at Papertrey Ink took me out of my comfort zone because I tend to avoid masking. With the right stamps and dies, I can see where one could get amazing results. Guess I should have stuck with flowers and leaves because I just don't own many other images. Swans it is with some ink blending!

PTI Create Along With Us Challenge: January 2018

Well, the Design Team at Papertrey Ink is off to a great start with its first 2018 Release and Create Along With Us Challenge. My guess is most of us make more birthday cards throughout the year than any other. Well, let me tell you, they came through with lots of birthday treats. My “I need” list is a really long one after seeing all their gorgeous and colorful creations. My milestone birthday card was inspired by a combination of Lizzie's and Michelle's. I’ll share images of theirs and then mine.

Since I don't have any of the newer Brushed Off dies, I created my mask using two sizes from MFT Rectangle Dies and altered it a bit because it was too long. My Happy Birthday sentiment repeated across the rectangle is stamped using Soft Stone ink. Because I got some excess ink on the lower portion of the card base, I decided to use the edger die to remove it and added my Floral Sketches gray/white strip to the inside of my card. Only probably is they don't stand up so it was even more difficult to get a decent photo.

PTI MIM #280: Stamping Outside of the Box

Today has been a windy one here in Western Washington. Great excuse to make my way to my stamping room at least so I could enter this week's Papertrey Ink Make It Monday Challenge. PTI 10th Anniversary Challenge: Stitching

Lizzie showed us her stitching talents creating the cutest travel Tic Tac Toe set out of felt. She now wears four hats for Papertrey Ink with her added responsibilities as the Stitching Ambassador. Yay, Lizzie! Since I'm not much of a sewer/stitcher, fortunately the challenge is to create a project using the stitching projects as inspiration. Whew, now I can participate! And guess what? I used some of my new PTI Pre-Anniversary Sale patterned papers.

PTI Celebrating the Past, Present and Future: 2007

First challenge of 10 days celebrating Papertrey Ink's 10th Anniversary in business is to use a stamp set featured here that was introduced in 2007. The sets showcased include Beautiful Blooms, Green Thumb, Out to Sea, Spiral Bouquet and Text Boxed. Because I don't own any of these, I was inspired by Maile's Out To Sea card.

Here's what I came up with using one of their newer stamp sets, Swan'sational.
