PTI Make It Monday #115: Beyond Paper with Impression Plates

Here I am posting at the last minute again for the PTI Make It Monday challenge, which is to emboss on something other than paper. So, like others I used aluminum foil and PTI's Cane/Linen Impression Plate to emboss a Mat Stack #6 diecut. To make the foil stronger, I backed it with cardstock before embossing it. My colors in this high school graduation card reflect the school colors of silver and navy blue. Heather Nichol's showed us how to do this technique using aluminum tape.

Supplies: (all PTI unless noted)
Cardstock: Spring Rain, SU Night of Navy and White
Ink: VersaMark and SU Night of Navy
Stamps: For The Graduate and 2012 Birthday Tags (stars)
Dies: Mat Stack #6, Cloud Dies and Sizzix Go Go Boots Alphabet (2013)
Other: Aluminum Foil, Zing Silver Metallic Embossing Powder, SU Scallop Trim Border Punch, SU rhinestones and SU Dimensionals

I just love this. I never thought to use that IP, but I think it has a great effect. Good idea to die cut the piece, too. This makes a great graduation card.

Fab idea to personalise the card with the school colours - great graduation card. (I bought the fiskars compact stamp press 3"x5" - its a fantastic tool).
