PTI MIM #224: Two-Toned Stamped Sentiments and SSS Monday Challenge: Use A Stamp and Blog Hop

Danielle showed us her cool technique of creating two-toned sentiments on Nichole's blog. For those of us who don't own the right cover plates, she also shared a way to create the strips without and keep them lined up and even. Even though I'm packing for vacation, I had to take a bit of time to try this. Let me just say, I will use this again and maybe even splurge for a cover plate and Graceful Greetings. Instead, I had to cut my strips and adhere them individually. See my card below.

Can you see that the top and bottom of the sentiment are black with the middle portion being gold? Guess it's because it's taller than Graceful Greetings that Danielle used. I still like it though.

Additional Entry: Also entering this in Monday's Challenge at Simon Says Stamp Using A Stamp and Blog Hop.

That gold adds such a wonderful touch of sophistication. Hey, aren't you posting about 5 days early for MIM? Tee Hee. I have one for this and still need to get it posted. Hope you are having a wonderful vacation.

Beautiful card, Kathy. Love how you managed to keep the stripes straight without the CP...unlike some of us ;-)
