PTI MIM #234: Embellishing With Felt

Not really sure I followed Ashley's instructions exactly, but I did use felt on my card for the holly and berries. She demonstrated on this week's Papertrey Ink Make It Monday video. Had a vision of creating a card wrapped like a package and guess it turned out okay. At least now I have one more Christmas card to add to the many I've made already, and here it is.

Supplies: (all PTI unless noted)

Cardstock: Simply Chartreuse, SU Bravo Burgundy and MME Winter Wonderland Paper Pad
Ink: Simply Chartreuse
Stamps: Jolly Holiday (for sentiment)
Dies: Spruce & Sprigs and Sketched Shapes
Other: SU Bravo Burgundy Ribbon, Felt (stash) and Glue Dots

PTI MIM #233: Splattering

Another week, another Papertrey Ink Make It Monday Challenge here. This week we're honored to have Danielle Flanders share a couple ways of adding ink splatters to cards and tags. She makes it look so easy, but I found I didn't really have control of the splatters using a reinker and "flicking" the paintbrush. It definitely adds to the finished project though so I guess I'll keep practicing. Here's my card, and I'm happy to add another Christmas card to my pile.

I seem to have a problem putting away my new Spruce & Sprigs stamps and dies. They really are so versatile, especially for whipping out Christmas cards. I've got several cards to go to reach my goal so I'm cutting this short. Eager to find time to see what others have "splattered."
