PTI MIM #149: Glitter Embellishments

Heather and her glitter really inspired me to make a card for PTI's Make It Monday even though I hate the clean up afterwards. Sheepishly, I must admit I do love the rich impact glitter provides. Thanks, Heather, for sharing your tip of running die cuts through a Xyron twice so adhesive is on both sides. That worked pretty slick.

Since I don't yet have the die for Boutique Borders: Valentine, I stamped the border on Vintage Cream card stock using VersaMark and SU Cherry Cobbler ink before clear embossing it. My sentiment was also done this way using VersaMark and Kraft ink. My clear embossing powder must be too old because I didn't get the results I expected. Using a Vintage Cream card base, I added a layer of Kraft, SU Bravo Burgundy before adhering my focal image. To finish it off, I pressed pink glitter on my heart border the width of the card base for my glitter embellishment.

Supplies: (all PTI unless noted)
Cardstock: Vintage Cream, Kraft and SU Bravo Burgundy
Ink: Kraft, VersaMark and SU Cherry Cobbler
Stamps: Boutique Borders: Valentine
Dies: Heart Border
Other: Xyron adhesive, clear embossing powder (Joann's) & pink glitter (Joann's)
