PTI MIM #212: Fussy Cutting Tips

Ashley showed us fussy cutting tips here for those sentiments and images that don't have coordinating dies. That is this week's challenge for Papertrey Ink's Make It Monday Challenge. Since I'm needing a couple of high school graduation cards, I decided to incorporate this technique. Hope to find time to do this again once I have my stamp room back in order (packing it up so we're ready for our new flooring installation next week). Without further ado, here's my card.

I curved the sentiment from Celebrations and fussy cut it from Soft Stone card stock and then cut again from Black Tie glitter paper. It was definitely easier to draw pencil lines before cutting.

Now you see the complete card, which is pretty self-explanatory.

Here's what I did with the inside using Scarlet Jewel ink and VersaMark.

Supplies: (all PTI unless noted)

Cardstock: Scarlet Jewel, Soft Stone and SU Going Gray
Ink: VersaMark, Versa Fine Onyx Black and Scarlet Ink (card interior)
Stamps: Celebrations and Signature Greetings & For the Graduate (card interior)
Dies: Modern Numbers and Celebrations
Other: (all non-PTI) SU Dimensionals, Silver Sequins, Black Gems, Silver Twine, Metallic Silver Embossing Powder, Black Tie Glitter Paper and Micro Glue Dots

Your Graduation card design is fabulous, Kathy! Love the curved sentiment (never think to do that :-() The glitter paper and shiny embossing certainly adds to the 'celebration' !
