This week's Papertrey Ink Make It Monday details hosted by Dawn can be found here. She shared a different twist to creating flowers by keeping them more neutral and adding color to the leaves and other card layers. Can’t wait till I have more time to check out my floral dies and try this technique again. TFS, Dawn!

PTI Create Along With Us Challenge: June 2018

June Release just this past week means it's time to Create Along With The DT. Papertrey Ink calls it a challenge because it really is trying to decide which one to mimic as your inspiration piece. This week I chose the floral wreath project from Melissa Bickford's Day 4 blog post.

She used the new Botanical Bounty stamps and dies, which I don't own, so I improvised a bit. I varied my colors a bit and created this sympathy card.

It's a beautiful day here in the Pacific Northwest so I'm sitting on our deck watching the lake activity while I type this blog post.

PTI MIM #324: Lots O' Dots

What a week this was and the need for sympathy cards! I hate to even think about it as it makes me sad. Had great intentions to get this posted earlier, but my phone has been ringing all day long. Yesterday we lost a very dear friend of ours. Thursday and Friday were Memorial Services for two former coworkers. Since they say things happen in threes, this is it!

Michelle challenged us to use dots in our project for this week's Papertrey Make It Monday. My mind isn't thinking straight so first stamp set I came across happened to be a butterfly. Being somewhat in a hurry, I kept it simple. That's OK because I loved Michelle's card. Without further ado, here's mine.

PTI Transformation Tuesday

For the first time, I’m participating in Papertrey Ink's Transformation Tuesday with Lexi. The card I chose to redo was one inspired by Lexi. About the only similarities are a star from Star Prints and a birthday sentiment. I’ve been dying to use this color combination, and will definitely use it again. First, I’ll share my original and then my remake.

PTI MIM #323: Cascading Die Cuts

This week it was Stephanie's turn to inspire us for Papertrey Ink's Make It Monday. It's all about creating die cuts cascading down the front of your card. Well, I didn't follow instructions right to the tee because I desperately need graduation cards. These kids grow up so fast that I didn't realize I need three more cards than I had planned on making.

Please forgive me, Stephanie, as I did use the concept of how you added die cuts over colored paper. Mine just aren't cascading down the front but rather side to side. By The Numbers dies were just a bit too big.

Supplies: (all PTI unless noted):
Cardstock: Stamper's Select White, Bright Buttercup and Blue (stash)
Ink: VersaMark and SU Brilliant Blue Marker
Stamps: Penned Elegance
Dies: By The Numbers and For The Graduate
Other: SU Dimensionals, Scor Tape, CTMH Sparkles, Star Punch and Gelly Roll Glitter Pen

I tried this techique again on another graduation card and like this one better. Can you tell that I incorporated school colors for the grads? Love that added touch!

Thank you for stopping by, and I really do appreciate your comments!

Cardstock: Stamper's Select White, True Black, Scarlet Jewel and Silver Metallic (DCWV)
