PTI MIM #278: Window Chipboard Sentiments

Stephanie is sharing her very first Papertrey Make It Monday Video for this week's challenge. The first challenge I saw was what word die to use that would allow the card to open and close properly without tearing the paper. My choice of "happy" from Pretty Peonies wasn't the best decision but I went with it anyway. I really like my card but the little pieces won't withstand opening and closing too many times. Without further ado, here's my card. I'll show it open as well as the inside. If you look closely or enlarge the photo, you can see I also added some splatters. Thanks, Heather, for the reminder!

PTI 10th Anniversary Challenge: Favorite Florals

It's Release Day #3 at Papertrey Ink and so many beautiful new products and gorgeous cards showcasing the release. Nichole challenged us to create a new project using our all-time favorite floral set. There have been so many delightful floral sets released that it's difficult to choose a favorite. I opted to go with the hibiscus from Some Like It Hot for another thank you card, and I'm using some more of my new Pre-Anniversary Sale paper. Here's my card.

PTI MIM 277: Nail Polish Marbling

Lizzie is the gracious host of this week's Make It Monday Challenge for Papertrey Ink. On her blog, she shared lots of tips for attempting this technique. You can get other details on Nichole's blog.

Because it's been so busy with all the 10th Anniversary Festivities at PTI, I was going to skip this challenge. It's not that I don't like to try new techniques, but I just didn't think I had time so I didn't buy any new nail polish. Since I caught up with all the other challenges so far, I decided to attempt it. Well, let me just say that Insta-Dri polish pools up too quickly and doesn't "marble" well but I went with it anyway. It isn't pretty, wouldn't swirl and turned flakey but it qualifies for a chance at a $25 PTI gift certificate. No time for a redo. Sorry!

PTI 10th Anniversary Challenge: Multiply

This is Day 2 of Papertrey Ink's March Release in conjunction with their 10th Anniversary. Nichole challenged us to create a project using multiple shapes, stamps or die cuts. Seems like I'm always in need of thank you cards. What a fun way to show appreciation with Zigs, smooshing and stars!

PTI 10th Anniversary Challenge: Photo Finish

In addition to Product Designer and Design Team Contributor for Papertrey Ink, Heather is also the Traveler's Journal Ambassador. She showed us here on Nichole's blog how to create travel journals similar to a small scrapbook or notebook.  The options are endless, and when I have more time I'm going to try this.

For this challenge, we were to incorporate a photo into a project. Because I rarely print photos any more, I found one in my stamp room just waiting to be used. Besides that, I'm in need of thank you cards. This is it.

PTI 10th Anniversary Challenge: Altered Envelope

Lexi, besides being a product designer for Papertrey Ink, she is now also the Planner Ambassador. As guest blogger on Nichole's blog, the challenge was to create a new card with a coordinating altered envelope. I couldn't help but think of a pretty tulip bouquet perfect for a sympathy card. Here's my card and matching envelope just waiting to be mailed Monday.

PTI 10th Anniversary Challenge: Packaging Inspiration

Rebecca started off Papertrey Ink's 10th Anniversary festivities with her beautiful gift wrapping and packaging ideas. Her blog post was very interesting about her family history and fulfilling her dream of being a Packaging Ambassador for PTI. You can see her work monthly on the 6th but to get the challenge details go to Nichole's blog, which is to create a new packaging project.

Because I didn't have any gifts to wrap, I opted to create a Pocket Card. It turned out better than I expected, and I even used some more new Pre-Anniversary Sale paper. The hoarding is over!

You can see the decorated pocket insert below just waiting for a personalized message.

PTI 10th Anniversary Challenge: Stitching

Lizzie showed us her stitching talents creating the cutest travel Tic Tac Toe set out of felt. She now wears four hats for Papertrey Ink with her added responsibilities as the Stitching Ambassador. Yay, Lizzie! Since I'm not much of a sewer/stitcher, fortunately the challenge is to create a project using the stitching projects as inspiration. Whew, now I can participate! And guess what? I used some of my new PTI Pre-Anniversary Sale patterned papers.

PTI Make It Monday #276: Kraft & Colored Pencils

Felt like a kid in a candy store taking out my colored pencils to use in this week's Papertrey Ink Make It Monday challenge. Sharing her tutorial, Melissa combined Kraft card stock with colored pencils. Check out the beauties she created as she definitely has a real knack for card making. I like the concept but definitely need more line image stamps for coloring. Here's the design I decided on.
