Stephanie is sharing her very first Papertrey Make It Monday Video for this week's challenge. The first challenge I saw was what word die to use that would allow the card to open and close properly without tearing the paper. My choice of "happy" from Pretty Peonies wasn't the best decision but I went with it anyway. I really like my card but the little pieces won't withstand opening and closing too many times. Without further ado, here's my card. I'll show it open as well as the inside. If you look closely or enlarge the photo, you can see I also added some splatters. Thanks, Heather, for the reminder!
Thanks for stopping by, and I really do appreciate your comments.

You came up with a wonderful design for the technique, Kathy! I think your card can hold up better than mine--love it! I always combine MIM with the Blog Hop if I can.
Love your take on this week's MIM ... I too had difficulty with choosing one that would allow easy opening and closing. Alas! ;)
Kathy, I love the colors you used on this and the splatters are a wonderful finishing touch! I also had trouble with my card opening and closing. You selected a sturdier word than I did.
The happy looks so neat in your sweet layout! My card gets a little stuck too =)
Oh your card makes me HAPPY! That's an awesome thick chunky happy die, love it! Your pretty flowers frame it so nicely. And I am a HUGE fan of ink and paint splatters!
Such a fun and cheerful card Kathy! Love the pink blossoms! Great take on the challenge!
Love that beautiful grey with pink flowers. I think you chose the perfect word die; at least most of it is pretty sturdy. The neat freak in me would not allow me to try this technique. :)
This is so pretty, Kathy! I like your choice of dies, I tried to go with the biggest one I had from PTI cause I thought it would be even harder to open the card :-(
PS: I think I can count on one hand the number of times I used that RP stamp ;-)
